Prospect list reference
What each field in a prospect list means, the formats you can choose for extra details, and what each status tells you.
Prospects is available on plans that include it.
New prospect list fields
| Field | Required | What it does |

| Title | Yes | The name of the list on the Prospects page. You can rename it later. |
| Query | Yes | A description of who to find, in your own words. |
| Entity type | Yes | What kind of result you want: Company, Person, Article, Research paper or Custom. It starts at Company. |
| Target count | Yes | How many prospects to find. It must be a whole number above zero. It starts at 25. A search can return a few more than the target. |
| Criteria (optional) | No | Rules every prospect must meet, one rule in each box, for example "Has between 5 and 30 staff". |
| Enrichments (optional) | No | Extra details to collect for each prospect. Each one becomes a column in the results. |
You cannot change the query, entity type, target count or criteria after you create the list. To search again with different settings, create a new list.
Enrichment fields

| Description | The detail you want, in your own words, for example "Number of partners". It is also the column heading. |
| Format | The kind of answer you expect. See the formats below. |
| Options | Shows only for the Options format. The answers Alcova can choose from. Add at least one. |
Enrichment formats
| Format | Use it for |

| Text | A short written answer, such as the main services a business offers. |
| Date | A date, such as when a business was founded. |
| Number | A number, such as how many partners a firm has. |
| Options | One answer from a list you set, such as Yes, No or Unclear. |

| Phone | A phone number. |
| URL | A web address. In the results, it shows as a link. |
Statuses
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Pending | The list is created and the search has not started yet. |
| Running | The search is finding prospects. A progress bar shows how many are found. You can still cancel it. |
| Completed | The search has finished. |
| Paused | The search is paused. |
| Canceled | Someone cancelled the search. The prospects found before then stay in the list. |
| Failed | The search stopped before it finished. The prospects found before then stay in the list. Create a new list to try again. |
You can cancel a list only while it is Pending or Running. You cannot add an enrichment to a list that is Canceled or Failed.
